OntarioSasquatch

Ontario Sasquatch is a private, non-profit organization made up of independent researchers who are investigating the existence of sasquatch or bigfoot in Ontario.  We believe sasquatch exists and is a flesh and blood hominid that is well adapted to its habitat.

In the fall of 2006, Ontario Sasquatch was formed with five founding members. In February of 2007, we got our website up and running. Since then, our membership has grown considerably. We now have team members in most areas of the province.

Each investigator volunteers their time without funding from outside sources. We are a group of people who are curious about the many eye witness sightings that occur across our province. Something must be happening. However, we are also skeptical.

As members of the OSR team, we benefit from working with a group of people who share the same enthusiasm and interest in this subject. It's a climate in which we're able to trade experiences, gain expertise and learn from each other, one where co-operation and comraderie is very important.

We investigate reports that are submitted to the group, conduct interviews with witnesses, either by phone or in person, make field site visits to follow-up on those reports, and conduct field trips to sighting locations and areas of interest.

Our goal is to do thorough investigations. We make all efforts to conduct our field work in a professional and scientific manner. This can take time. We may contact a witness many times to get all the information necessary to complete a report. If it's warranted, we will visit the site of the encounter. We may ask the witness to accompany us to the area. Field notes, measurements, and photos will be taken. Protocols are important, particularly when it involves collecting physical evidence, like tissue, hair and fecal samples, casting tracks, and documenting evidence in the field.

We understand that when a person sees something that isn't supposed to exist it can be a life-changing experience. Not only is there a shock factor involved, but there is often ridicule and disbelief from family and friends if they talk about their experience. We're here to help those who contact us. We will listen and do our best to look into the encounter.
