** Yakama/Shasta - The original list names the Shasta NA as a Yakama tribe. I was not able to find any reference to this. I could only find them listed as two separate tribes. The Shasta or Chasta are a Northern California tribe and the Yakama NA are a Columbia River Plateau tribe in central Washington State and northern Oregon. The notation may also mean that the Yakama and Shasta use the same name for this creature. However neither group shares the same language.
